Relay For Life of San Clemente – July 26 & 27, 2008
The American Cancer Society presents Relay for Life, a community fundraiser and an opportunity for San Clemente to come together to join the fight against cancer. No experience required. Join together with families, friends and neighbors in teams of 10 to 15 people taking turns walking, rolling or running the track. Enjoy food, fun, kids camp, and entertainment all day long. Character Counts! Jamboree – Sept. 27
Presented by the Orange County Sheriff's Department and the City of San Clemente, this free community-family fair includes more than 50 booths, displays, arts, crafts and children's performances. Hunger Walk – Sun. Oct. 5
This benefit 5k walk raises funds for local families in need and 100% of the proceeds goes back into the community in the form of client aid. Dana Point Turkey Trot 5k/10k - Thur. Nov. 27
The Dana Point Chamber of Commerce presents it's Annual Turkey Trot. This is the 2nd largest Thanksgiving race in the nation. There is a gorgeous flat course running through Dana Point Harbor and Doheny State Beach and new this year is prize money in the 10k. There will also be "chip timing". and Race starts at Dana Point Harbor & Golden Lantern. The cost is $28.00 per person. 5k & 10k and Kids’ Race 1-mile (Ages 5-12). USATF certified courses. Candy Cane Carnival – Sat. Dec. 6
Children will delight in an array of holiday activities offered by the City of San Clemente and the San Clemente Jr. Woman’s Club. There will be a craft corner, a mini variety show, magic show and a toddler’s snow hill! Small fee for some activities. The “count down” to light the Community Tree begins promptly at 5:15pm.
