Annual St. Patrick's Community Dinner & Dance – Sat. March 17
Tis’ the annual community St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance sponsored by the Exchange Club. Corned beef and cabbage with all the trimmings served from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Enjoy live music until 10:00pm. San Clemente Garden Club (SCGC) is featuring an amazing “Community Gardenfest”. The major theme reveals the occasion is about community involvement. The event runs from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The "Gardenfest" is co-hosted by the SCGC and the City of San Clemente Beaches, Parks, and Recreation Department and is held at the Community Center on Del Mar St. Just to pique your interest and give you a sneak preview here are a few schemes that are being formulated: Horticultural mini-symposiums, A Master Gardener on site to answer your questions, short educational presentations for your kids, and a garden flea market, just to mention a few. The San Clemente Rotary Club in partnership with the City of San Clemente presents “Dixieland Jazz By The Sea", taking music lovers back to the era of ragtime, hot traditional jazz and the great society orchestras of the 1920's, and 30's. Friday, May 20th will be "USO" Canteen night with a pasta dinner and a 1940's swing orchestra. Saturday will feature ten bands, plus open jam sessions where anyone is invited to play. Friends of Dorothy Fuller Fundraiser – July 1, 2007
Meet, greet, and reminisce fundraiser for Dorothy Fuller, Mother of the San Clemente Ocean Festival, Historic photo journalist, and the Heart & Soul of San Clemente. This fundraiser will provide a place and time for all of her lifelong friends to come by, visit with, and make donations to her for basic comfort items and expenses. Dorothy suffered a paralyzing stroke to the left side of her body and since has been restricted to a bed in a convalescent home without benefit of companionship of all her friends from her community in San Clemente. Walking For Seniors Celebration - Mon. July 2, 2007
Former City Council Member Susan Ritschel will be celebrating an important milestone on July 2 at 4pm at Parque Del Mar (by the Pier). Pledging to walk 1000 miles to raise funds to build the new Senior Center, she will complete the 500th mile by walking from North Beach to the Pier. SAN CLEMENTE HISTORICAL SOCIETY RESCHEDULES “MAYOR’S CUP” GOLF PUTTING TOURNAMENT
The San Clemente Historical Society announced it has rescheduled its traditional July “Mayor’s Cup” Golf Putting Tournament, in favor of a golf event next year that will be designed to incorporate a more “historical” relevant setting and ambiance. “The Society has been remodeling its activities and programs in the last few years to provide ‘historical’ synergies where possible,” Society President Mike Cotter said in a email to members. “For instance, the promotion of our new ‘Museum Store’ historical photograph line has added value and excitement to the community booth we staff at the Village Art Fairs held on Avenida Del Mar. People love to stop and look through the historical photos we have on display, and this leads to informative and lively discussions about the value of the city’s historic resources.”

Endless Summerfest – Sun. August 26, 2007
Come to San Clemente High school as Saddleback Church hosts it’s 2nd annual Endless Summerfest from 10am – 3pm.  Last year’s crowd favorites Riders4Christ freestyle motocross crew will be there, featuring Orange County local and 2007 ESPN X-Games Gold Medal winner Kyle Loza. The motorcycles will hit the truck mounted ramp and put on an aerial display of world class tricks. GREAT HOLIDAY (& Family) EVENT!!
It's show time again for the Beach Cities Harmonizers on Sat. Dec 15 at 7pm. This year they will stage the show at Heritage Christian Fellowship. Along with them will be one of the most entertaining quartets in the country, Hi-Fidelity. They will be performing their outstanding STAR TREK comedy routine. They have been honored as the number one a Capella singing group in the country in national competition and made several appearances on a late night TV talk shows. In addition there will be performances by the outstanding San Clemente High School Madrigal Singers and the equally great SCHS Women’s Ensemble, plus local quartets, South County Sound and Harmony Partners.
